As part of the “Innovation Startup” competition in Thua Thien Hue Province in 2018, GREENET COMPANY LIMITED implemented the idea of “Using non-wood forest products in natural forests to manufacture Sao La essential oil balm,” a product that is effective and convenient for users.
With team members who have experience in forestry, community development, and pharmaceuticals, we aim to create a high-quality essential oil product that is widely effective and carries the unique characteristics of the local area. To create this distinctive product, we focus on innovation and creativity. This product has the following key features:
- Base material: It uses natural beeswax, which is considered one of the purest materials in nature. Beeswax helps increase the absorption of essential oils through the skin, enhancing the effectiveness of the Sao La essential oil balm. Additionally, beeswax helps create a stable base for the product, preventing the oils from separating from the base, becoming too runny at high temperatures, or solidifying at low temperatures.
- Essential oils: While similar balm products in the market often use refined or synthetic substances like Menthol or Methyl Salicylate, we exclusively use natural essential oils to create the Sao La essential oil balm. Essential oils contain not only common substances but also a wide range of other compounds that add to their value. Furthermore, in the Sao La essential oil balm, we also use Thiên Niên Kiện essential oil, which is highly effective for muscles, bones, and joints. Currently, there are very few producers of Thiên Niên Kiện essential oil in Vietnam, and its application in joint pain relief products is still quite limited.
With these advantages and innovations in product development, the project was highly praised by the judges and awarded. This recognition is a significant encouragement for the efforts of the GREENET team, and it also provides an opportunity for GREENET’s products to reach more consumers.
